I'm a photographer and graphic designer living in Ann Arbor (A2), Michigan, where I was born and raised. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York with a BFA in Photography. After working in the New York publishing field for several years as a retoucher and imaging editor, I moved to Chicago and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I earned a Post-Bacc Certificate in Visual Communication Design. Now back in A2, I currently work at the Ross School of Business which I fully blame for wanting to return to school once more to pursue a Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan in Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC).
As far back as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with photography. I credit my dad and stepdad who are both camera junkies, and it didn't take long for me to join them behind the camera. While photography will always be my first love, I'm drawn to design and the endless possibilities of combining typography, illustration, photos, paper, and vector graphics. Though it can be a solitary endeavor, I thoroughly enjoy creative collaboration as well.
I shoot portraits, events, the occasional wedding, and my kids and pets (mostly pets). I actively pursue graphic design projects for print and the web, and love a good online web developer class or tutorial. My husband and I own a business in Dexter, MI called Midwest Graphics & Awards where we screen print, embroider, and engrave custom apparel items and awards.
